Dr. Davis served the Greater Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church in Van Buren, Arkansas from 1996 - 2000. To this day, he credits the congregation with teaching him how to love and lead God's people. In January 2000, Dr. Davis was called to serve as senior pastor of the historic St. Paul Baptist Church in Memphis, Tennessee. In six short years, St. Paul has grown from a membership of 150 to over 700. Dr. Davis is committed to take God's Word to a hurting and lost generation as he builds people of PURPOSE, POWER, and PRAISE. Under Pastor Davis' leadership, due to phenomenal growth, St. Paul purchased a 13 acre campus complete with sanctuary, education building, family life center, computer lab, and child care center. Plans are currently underway to open the St. Paul Christian Academy, grades K-3, by the Fall 2008. The Davis' are the proud parents of Christopher Bernard, II, Allie Elizabeth, and Savanna Brooke. Christopher B. Davis, a native
Arkansan, was called at the age of twenty-one to preach God's Word. He
holds Bachelors of Arts degrees from both the University of Arkansas and
Arkansas Baptist College. He earned the Masters of Arts in Religion from
Memphis Theological Seminary in Memphis, Tennessee. He is currently
pursuing the Doctorate of Ministry degree with special emphasis on
Preaching and Leadership from the United Theological Seminary in Dayton,
Ohio. In 1996, he was awarded the honorary Doctorate of Divinity degree
from Arkansas Baptist College.
